Manchester United youngster, Kobbie Mainoo has come out to open up on the unique way he found out about his England senior call-up. This is coming after Gareth Southgate rewarded him for his stunning form, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he was told about his call-up at Old Trafford’s reception, and immediately he heard he would be with the England squad for the week, his excitement grew.

Mainoo added that the invite has still not sunk in yet, but he feels very grateful for the opportunity.
His words, “Yeah, it’s a bit different! He told me to meet him in the reception and just told me I’ve been called up and I’m gonna be with the squad for the week. I don’t think it’s sunk in yet, but I’m excited.”
